Tom Burke, Freelance Consultant
Tom has extensive experience of leading safeguarding and child protection trainings for voluntary organisations working both with children, young people and vulnerable adults. He previously worked as a Deputy Chief Executive of a leading youth international development charity working both in the UK and overseas and was editor of the National Council for Voluntary Youth Services ‘Keeping It Safe’ guide.

Tom Burke is currently a freelance consultant specialising in work with voluntary organisations. He was previously Deputy Chief Executive of a leading youth international development charity working both in the UK and overseas. He has extensive experience of leading safeguarding and child protection training for voluntary organisations working both with children, young people and vulnerable adults. He was editor of the National Council for Voluntary Youth Services ‘Keeping It Safe’ guide and an assessor of organisations seeking accreditation under the Sound Systems safeguarding standards.
